~ Our Little Horses ~

These are our little horses~ Jasper and Bear. They are half brothers and are very different from each other. Jasper ( on the left ) acts like he is a tough little guy and likes to show off for the gals next door ( Draft horses )They will all line up and watch him act silly and he always looks over his shoulder to makes sure they are still watching him. Jasper is really a very sweet horse and likes to have a lot of fun and tries so hard to be silly. He is very afraid of baths and vets!! His brother, Bear, is very calm and quiet compared to Jasper and is not afraid of having a bath or a visit with the vet. Bear gets weary of Jasper's antics and likes to just have relaxing, calm days.

Jasper and Bear moved into their new house ( barn ) four years ago and love it!! When we first got them, they lived in a stall under our daughter's clubhouse!! My husband had made a beautiful house for our daughter. It had a cedar shake roof and windows and was wallpapered in horse print. My dad came over and told Amanda that all she needed was to have a little pony living in a stall below and that is how Jasper came to live with us. We felt Jasper needed a friend, so my husband had his brother come and live with us, too. They were very excited to see each other again because they had been seperated for some time! Bear had never seen a house quite like Jasper's and his eyes got very big!! Bear was always outside and never in the barn much, so he thought Jasper had it made having his very own home ( with lace curtains and a sweet girl on the second floor ). The first day that Bear came he was much more interested in checking out his new house, but Jasper wanted to play with Bear, so he kept pulling on Bear's tail when he would head for his new house. Now Jasper and Bear have a big boys barn and really enjoy it very much!! They have been inseperable from the very first day and love each other very much!!

Such sweet boys those two! My brother thought about getting a miniature pony, but it never came to fruition...I think they are just the cutest though!

Not only are they just precious but your farm looks like something I have been dreaming of for some time! My husband is in the Army, so horses, ponies, chickens or any of the other animals I would love to have would be a bit impractical. Oh I love to look at yours though! I found your blog at Joyful Blessings! I am so glad! Kristen...
